A classic poet goes off
An invented old-time poet discovers rap. A quill, sonnets and a powdered wig supply the contrast with a modern beat. The humour comes from the fictional character’s confidence, rather than copying a real writer’s voice.

The four-line verse
- LINE 1 · RAPPER A
Quill in hand and the ink’s still wet
- LINE 2 · RAPPER A
My sonnet’s so cold, the critics sweat
- LINE 3 · RAPPER A
Powdered wig bouncing to a brand-new set
- LINE 4 · RAPPER A
Three hundred years and I’m not done yet
How the verse works
The quill and ink establish the character, the sonnet line adds the boast, and the last two lines bring the old-fashioned figure into the performance. The verse uses period details without quoting a published poem.

Describe an original character in a short visual sentence, then give them one attitude or contradiction. Keep the character invented and avoid asking for a living performer’s identity, a celebrity voice or a protected franchise character.
